If you have a plan, JWU can help you get there. Here are the current Competitive pathways we offer.
Biology, Exercise & Sports Science, and Health Science majors:
3+3 Biology-Pharm.D.
JWU has partnered with the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) to launch a new 3+3 program that creates a pathway for qualified JWU students to earn a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Pharm.D. in 6 years. The program maximizes the time and investment of students by providing a path to complete their studies a year ahead of schedule, saving up to a year’s tuition in the process.
Medical School
While not an official “pathway,” the individual advising you will receive as a Biology or Health Science student can position you to fulfill your pre-med requirements during your undergraduate program.
Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD)
You can apply to JWU’s Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) as a student in JWU’s Biology, Exercise & Sports Science, or Health Science bachelor’s degree program if you meet academic and experiential eligibility requirements. Those students will benefit from a guaranteed interview.
Physician Assistant Studies (PA)
Similar to the OTD pathway, you can apply to JWU’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) as a Biology, Exercise & Sports Science, or Health Science student if you meet academic and experiential eligibility requirements and earn a guaranteed interview. Even before PA school, you’ll learn from the same faculty who teach in the program at the undergraduate level, and they readily share the knowledge and skills you will need to succeed.
Criminal Justice, Liberal Studies, Political Science majors:
3+3 Law
Through a partnership with Roger Williams University’s Law Juris Doctor (JD) program, if you’re a Criminal Justice, Liberal Studies or Political Science major, you can start your first year of legal studies while completing your bachelor’s degree.
