Campus Information

More than 30,000 college students live in Providence, around 4,500 of whom attend JWU. It’s also home to artists, professionals, leaders, and innovators, making it a culturally diverse urban experience.

The city has more restaurants per capita than any other city, many of which were founded and staffed by our graduates.

Providence is home to our original campus, founded in 1914, and is the largest of the university’s campuses in size and enrollment. It’s actually composed of two separate campuses, Downcity and Harborside, both of which offer unique experiences that are still distinctly JWU.

After your Accepted Students Day, take some time to explore the city and find out why so many JWU students love calling Providence their home!
