I wanted to share the great sense of empathy for the families, relatives and friends affected by the catastrophic damages caused by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. As active members of this community, it is our duty and responsibility to assist our neighbors in these critical times as they begin the long process of recovery.
In the wake of the mass devastation, I am inviting you to join our collective efforts to support Miami-Dade County relief initiatives in the upcoming days. This is how you can help us make an impact:

Below is a list of the donation items requested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Commonwealth of the Bahamas. Please ensure that you drop off ONLY items that are listed.

Also, please be advised that Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez, along with the Bahamian Prime Minister, is directing ALL relief donations to be dropped off at the official staging site where the relief supplies will be prepared for shipment to The Bahamas. The North Miami Campus Emergency Team will ensure the delivery of the collected goods to local officials.
