Originally from NC, I moved to Colorado 25 years ago. I received my master’s degree and PhD from Colorado State University, and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addictions Counselor in Colorado since 2001.
I have presented research on ethics and best practices in counseling at numerous conferences, including the American Counseling Association and American Psychological Association. I have published peer-reviewed articles in Community College Journal of Research and Practice, American Counseling Association’s VISTAS, and Counseling Today.
Currently, I am the host of a monthly Ethics Highlight for The Thoughtful Counselor podcast. My hobbies include camping, hiking, and playing with my family in the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
