James Moulton

Bio

Jim Moulton has been at Johnson & Wales University’s Denver Campus in the College of Arts & Sciences since the spring of 2002. He currently teaches World History Since 1500, United States History from Colonial Times to 1876, United States History since 1877, Modern History, American Government, The Atomic Age, Introduction to Political Science, Introduction to World Politics, Foundations of Leadership Studies, and The Ethics of Business Leadership.

He holds a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville (1982). He also earned an MA in European/Russian History with a concentration in the Stalinist Period and cognate fields in Petrine, British, Late Middle Eastern, South American History, and United States History-1750-to-the-Present from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville (1986).

During the summer of 1987, Moulton attended the intensive Russian Language Immersion Program at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California. He received his PhD in Russian and European History from the University of Denver (2000), with a concentration in the Petrine Period of Russian History and cognate fields in the Romanov and Soviet Periods of Russian History, Late Ottoman and Modern Israeli History, English, French and Mexican History.
