Our Leadership Development Programs, sponsored by Student Involvement & Leadership, complement academics and enhance the overall collegiate experience, while building self confidence and personal integrity that benefit you both professionally and personally.

Advanced Leaders

The Advanced Leader Summit, which occurs during Spring Term, is open to all JWU students who have graduated from the Emerging Leader Series.

This series will delve deeper into core self-leadership, such as integrity and character. It will also cover connecting with others, leading more effectively and changing culture.

The Advanced Leader Summit utilizes the Social Change Model of Leadership Development as a framework.

  • Attend Advanced Leader Summit
  • Complete Advanced Leader Reflection Paper
  • Must Maintain a 2.75 GPA

Emerging Leaders

The Emerging Leader Series, which occurs during Winter Term, is open to all JWU students who wish to begin or continue the journey of self leadership development. In this series, you’ll enhance the skills necessary to play a leadership role in a student organization as well as in the community.

A select group of students, nominated by JWU faculty and staff, will have the opportunity to participate in skill-building workshops held throughout the first and second terms. Participants are sent registration materials to be submitted by deadline for enrollment.
