Before she began teaching at JWU in 2011, Johanna Church taught at Kean University in New Jersey. She also served as a technical writer for a software company and copywriter for an ad agency.

Church’s areas of expertise include Irish literature, British modernism, the Harlem Renaissance, and pop culture studies. She hopes to transform her students into dedicated, hard-working critical thinkers and, hopefully, leaders of the future.
