College of Food Innovation & Technology

Our College of Food Innovation & Technology is globally-recognized because we’re at the leading edge of 21st-century culinary education. You’ll learn in advanced lab settings under our nationally and internationally renowned faculty as you broaden your exposure to a wide range of experiences in the world of culinary arts.

Each of our majors combine the craft and art of cooking with science and nutrition, business and management skills, global citizenship and a variety of work experience opportunities that will set you apart.

You’ll also develop the communication and critical thinking skills necessary for long-term career success through our integrated arts and sciences curriculum.

Our students and alumni have interned or worked for many renowned businesses and organizations including Café Boulud, Cooking Channel, Del Posto Restaurant, ESPN, Facebook, Heinz, The Kraft Heinz Company, Marriott, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Momofuku Group, The Ritz-Carlton, Walt Disney World, and more.

Internship: The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The Dubai Ritz-Carlton is a gold-standard property with 6 swimming pools, grand event spaces and 9 bars and restaurants. Apoorva’s internship cycled her through the wide range of cuisines and cooking styles on site, from tea service to corporate events: “I ended my internship with closing down stations myself in multiple restaurants daily.”

Biggest lesson? “Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone to live and work in a different country. The fast-paced environment was an unbelievable learning experience that gave me an incredible boost of confidence.”
