The city has been nationally recognized for its walkability, meaning you don't need a car to experience everything it has to offer. Students can easily walk from campus to the Providence River Pedestrian Bridge, Providence Place Mall, India Point Park and dozens of local coffee shops, restaurants, small shops and entertainment venues. Historic Benefit Street, known as the "Mile of History," offers some of the country's finest examples of colonial architecture, while nearby College Hill provides scenic overlooks and quiet places, perfect for studying or unwinding.
