Parent & Family Relations

Welcome!

JWU Parent & Family Relations was established in 2001. We serve as a resource to our Wildcat parents and families, helping you support your students’ success and encouraging you to become involved with the university community and your students’ JWU experience.

One opportunity for involvement we encourage you to consider is our Parent & Family Advisory Board (PFAB), which works to make the transition to college life easier for parents and students alike. Volunteer members participate in many on- and off-campus events, sharing their own JWU experience with other families. Look for PFAB members at Parent and Family Orientation, during Opening Weekend and again at Homecoming & Family Weekend.

Parents and family members remain the most influential force in a student's life. Therefore, your student will likely turn to you for support when he or she is concerned, confused or unhappy. We hope you will join us in supporting your student’s growth and development by encouraging them to independently and proactively seek solutions to any challenges. There are multiple resources available on campus, and we can give you information if you need help directing your student. Successfully handling challenges throughout their college experience helps students develop confidence and gain experience with valuable life-long skills.

Again, Parent & Family Relations is here to help you throughout your student’s JWU experience. We invite you to call or email with any questions or concerns you may have, and we look forward to working with you!
